Thank you to you all for your support in 2018.  This has been a hugely significant year for Pulse.  Not only did we celebrate our 20th birthday but we also opened our London office and launched our new website.  These are really exciting times for us as we grow our underwriting capabilities for specialty business and also look at ways that we can make it easier for people who are unable to access life insurance from the standard market to find the cover that they need.  We have more than doubled the number of cases that we are putting on risk in a year and we expect to do the same again next year so whilst sometimes it is a bumpy ride it is certainly one that we are enjoying!

There have been significant changes in the insurance world too, with a number of high-profile withdrawals from the Lloyd’s life and PA market.  However, we continue to believe that by focussing on niche business we offer something different.  Joe Balsom and his team in London are able to tailor cover for smaller businesses; Debbie Boyles and her team in Northamptonshire offer expertise on non-standard life insurance that makes a real difference to people who are otherwise being declined or rejected.

Some of the cases we have seen this year include international music groups on tour, actors needing cover for just one day while filming, archaeologists visiting sites close to the Syrian border, expats in the middle-East needing life cover, people in the UK needing life cover with multiple sclerosis, mental health issues and heart problems as well as all of the enquiries that we deal with every day from intermediaries and individuals.
