Happy Christmas from Pulse & Festive Opening Hours

Thank you everyone for all your support this past year!  This has been a challenging year, and I can’t say I am not pleased to see the back of it.  But it has also meant that Innovative Insurance has been not just a slogan but a necessity.  We have all had to embrace change, working from home, video conferencing, paperless offices, remote medicals, flexible processes… these have all become standard practice.  We have had to adapt and embrace change and I think all of us in the financial services industry should feel proud of the efforts that have been made to keep customers informed and in touch despite the ravages of the pandemic.  It is not so long ago that one of the team at Pulse said they would never go paperless – well this year we weren’t given a choice and I would just like to take this opportunity to thank publicly the whole of the Pulse team in London, Brackley and Norwich for their hard work and dedication this year.

Hopefully things will be easier in 2021 but before the vaccine starts to work, we have a few more tough months ahead.  We also have Brexit to work through.  Amongst all the talk of a trade deal, I think the government assumed that the financial services industry would sort itself out.  Well, it has… but it hasn’t been easy particularly for a small business-like Pulse.  We now have a partner business in Brussels and look forward to building that relationship next year.  In the longer term, the fact that we have a Belgian subsidiary will certainly be an advantage but it has been a challenging process.

At Pulse we have always seen complex risks as an opportunity for us to show our true mettle rather than something to be avoided.  Whether it is unoccupied propertymartial artshigher-risk livestravel to hazardous areas or bespoke schemes, then we believe we can help.  Insurance rates have hardened but cover is still available for most risks.

2020 has been a difficult year but the one thing that hasn’t changed has been our focus on putting our customers at the heart of everything that we do.  Thank you for your support and for continuing to trust your business to Pulse.  The economic and societal impact of Covid is likely to be with us for some time and insurance is going to be even more important for our customers than ever. Many of our products include full covid cover including life (in many circumstances) and medical expenses whilst travelling, among others.  We look forward to a challenging but hopefully fulfilling year in 2021.

Best wishes and Happy Christmas!
